The Town Council recognises that climate change and the depletion of biodiversity, are emergencies that challenge the planet’s wellbeing.
They will address these challenges and enact the recommendations of the Kendal Citizens’ Jury on Climate Change.
Kendal Town Council will:
1. Protect and improve green spaces, so they provide a natural home for wildlife, as well as being a wonderful place for people.
2. Support awareness and actions that help us move toward zero carbon.
3. Enhance our connections to the natural spaces and the River Kent.
4. Reduce pollution, encourage the reduction of waste and the means for better recycling.
5. Work with partners to make all aspects of our lives more environmentally sustainable
